As we all navigate these turbulent times, many of us have wondered at one time or another, ‘What if I were a YouTuber?’. It is quite a fair and logical question to ponder over. Is it really possible? Is it that easy? Or how difficult could it really be? Where should I start? What should I do? Is there a roadmap to this thing? Before you know it, you find yourself overwhelmed with the questions themselves.

Am I too late to the party?
The competition seems to be dauntingly steep, when you consider the fact that nearly 80% of the 2.3 Billion YouTube users have their own Channels as well. People are uploading over 400 hours of video every single minute. Ghosh!

Not really — the party has just begun.
Today, YouTube is the second most popular social media platform, and also the second most-popular search engine. With over 2.3 Billion users worldwide, people are watching (i.e. “consuming”) a sum total of over a BILLION HOURS of video content every single day.

Find your mojo & find your audience.
The name of the game now, at this scale of things, is to narrow down and rule a niche, rather than being a generic vlogger. The amount of content and competition starts out as a deterrent to those weak of the heart and resolve. But for the adventurous ones, there are treasures to be found on account of this very attitude of 90% of the people who get disappointed at the drop of the hat. The numbers just mean that there are enough and more diverse people who are waiting to find the content and flavour that only YOU cna provide on Your TUBE. No kidding. Think about it. Find your niche, find your style, and serve it to your audiences.

Okay, let’s do this! Where do I begin to learn?
Well, YouTube itself is a great source of information to learn things. So this obviously holds true for the content and how-tos on starting a YouTube Channel itself. And it certainly is a good place to start.

Riddled for choice.

Dude(tte), but it’s free for a reason (other than Advertising).
But things can quickly get out of hand, as you try to find more fine-tuned and pertinent information. One gets free quality content in the ever-increasing YouTube haystack for sure; but it still is a haystack. It can sometimes take, what feels like, eons, to find the right information in the right format. St this point, sometimes it pays to pay someone to teach us the tricks of the trade in an orderly (and updated!) bundle or crash-course.

You may try to find some Udemy courses for this purpose. They have some amazing learning content at good prices. Look out for the ones updated recently, with genuine and numerate reviews, as well as good Instructor feedback. (Pro Tip: Sometimes you can keep a course in the cart and wait a while to get notified of a discounted offer price.) Now there are other eLearning avenues that are similar to Udemy (and just as popular), but as for me, I am more comfortable with them despite having to pay a fair fee.

But what if I’m looking for something even more comprehensive?
